When it comes to something that is lived by so many people around the world, alcohol definitely takes the cake and enjoyed all around the world daily.
Whether it’s for celebration purposes, or simply going out to enjoy a drink with your friends in a social setting over the weekend to wind down, there are plenty of alcoholic beverages to choose from.
On that note, ever wondered what types of alcohol are considered to be the best in the world? What does it mean to be the best drink in the world anyway?
Well, it starts with the drink that the majority of the world prefers above any other, the one drink that makes it into nearly any bar, club and attention-grabbing stands in every shop in the world.
These are our top picks, as well as the worlds.
Sorry folks, or should we rather say ladies, but beer won.
Taking the cake as the best drink in the world because of the fact that it is consumed everywhere around the world, is a simple bottle of beer. Although this might disappoint the wine-drinkers, beer is considered the most popular because it is cheap and easy to find. So, whether it’s a watery beer, malt, yeast or hops, there are plenty to choose from everywhere.
Rum and Coke
Well, Captain Jack Sparrow definitely knew what he was drinking when drunk on Rum, minus the Coke, but we’re not sure it existed back then. Nevertheless, rum is considered a favourite and paired with a coke, the second best alcoholic beverage in the world.
Vodka and Orange
Well, now it’s just turning into a mixing game… Ever tried drinking Vodka on its own? Well, unless you’re full-on Russian, take the mixture. That is if you don’t want to be drunk in a few minutes after drinking a few clean ones. For a heavy drinker, this mix might taste like fruit juice, but for the casual drinker, it’s an alcoholic drink with 40% alcohol that hits the nail right on the head.
Mexicana! We mean, tequila. When referring to alcohol, every person who’s ever drunk alcohol has tried tequila in some sort of drink. As a distilled beverage that’s made from agave plants, which does not mean it’s healthy, but definitely, one of it’s best served with some salt and lime.
As a personal favourite, the person who invented Margaritas, definitely had something cooking. As the most tequila-based cocktail, mixed with other spirits and a hint of lemon or lime, this drink can be enjoyed in many different ways. For those who favour Margarita’s, don’t forget the salt! Shaken or stirred anybody?
Did your favourite not make the list? No worries! Other honourable mentions are white Russian, Sex on the Beach, Wine, Jager (of course) and Absinthe.
